This folder contains various programs, data types and helper classes demonstrating some of the principles of programming covered in CSCI 1228. The folders in this folder are the packages for the classes. You should create the packages and download the source code into the correct package folder.

• The exceptions package:
  • exceptions.SumNumbers -- the nextDouble() method throws a NoSuchElementException if you try to enter a word.
  • exceptions.CatchSumException -- same as above, but the program catches the exception.

  • exceptions.RectangleArea -- catches the exception thrown by Rectangle's constructor.
  • exceptions.Rectangle -- shows the normal way to throw exceptions from a data type class.

  • exceptions.CatchExceptions -- shows multiple try-catch block examples.
  • exceptions.RandomThrower -- a helper file that throws a randomly chosen exception for the previous program to catch.
