 INTRANET SOLUTIONS FOR AN ACADEMIC INSTITUTION

Project Description

The word Intranet refers to a structure analogous to the Internet, but 
working within the confines of a single institution. An Intranet would
be very useful to an academic institution because of major advantages that
are associated with it, such as uniform view of the data which is viewed 
using a web browser, and the simple and effective updating of data for different 
applications.  I plan to study the electronic distribution at AUC as well as
paper distribution. There will be a proposal of an Intranet model made
specifically for the AUC network, and a discussion of the tools available for 
an Intranet will be made. Finally, I plan to implement certain parts of the
Intranet model to demonstrate the usefulness of some Intranet tools.
