zyBook Alternative to Weekly Submissions

CSCI 1228 has weekly submissions, the best n-1 out of n of which count for a fixed 30% of the final grade. The zyBook associated with this course (Programming in Java with zyLabs) is a highly recommended, though optional, adjunct for learning the material covered in this course. Also, if the successfully-completed percentage of assigned material from the zyBook exceeds the percentage achieved on the weekly assignments, that higher percentage will be used in the calculation of the final grade in place of the percentage from the weekly submissions.

We will also be covering material in class that is not included in the zyBook, and the order in which we will cover the material may not be the same as in the zyBook.
