For the assignments that require submission of a Java program (Submission 01 to Submission 05), be sure to submit early and submit often. Then if something goes wrong at the last minute, you will have at least submitted a partially complete version of your program. Files submitted later will overwrite those submitted earlier.
Do not develop any Java program solution in the directory where it will be submitted. There should never, at any time, be anything but the specific files named in a submission description in the submission directory for that submission. Bottom line ... use a working directory elsewhere to develop your solution for the submission, and once the solution is complete, copy the required files to the appropriate submission directory.
Each Java program submission must include a self-assessment comment to inform the marker either that everything is complete and working according to the specifications, or to inform the marker what is still missing or not working properly in your submission.
Note that there is one assignment due each week, and there are two assignment categories :
uxx account on our Linux server. Double check to make sure
that your submitted files have the correct names. Also, do not develop
your solution in the directory where it will be submitted. There should
never, at any time, be anything but one or more of the files required for
the associated submission in the submission directory for that
submission.
Each of these assignments will be graded, and you will have online access
to the marking rubric used. You should examine this feedback carefully,
and be sure to note anything that the marker says you should or should
not
do in subsequent submissions. Click on a Submission ## link in the table
above to see the description and requirements for that submission. The
mark (out of 30) on each of these submissions will appear on Brightspace,
and these assignments will together count for 30% of your grade, with
each
submission contributing equally to the 30%.
